The 10th Annual Bob Wills Fiddle Festival & Contest is returning to Greenville on November 1 and 2.

Honoring an American tradition and treasure, the event is unique to the City of Greenville. It’s about fiddling and fiddlers and the best of competitions, and about the life and music of Bob Wills. In addition to the popular and esteemed fiddle contest, the 2024 line-up is packed with talent, variety, and toe-tappin’ music all in the spirit of great entertainment.

Friday night features the kick off of the fiddle contest at the Texan Theater and the Big Ball in G-Town Dinner & Dance at the Caddo Creek Event Center. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with a barbecue buffet at 6:15 followed by a concert by Pauline Reese at 7:30 p.m. and Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys with Jason Roberts at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday in addition to the fiddle contest, visitors enjoy the Bob Wills Heritage Memorabilia Display at the Texan Theater all day. The Greenville Farmers’ Market offers vendor shopping and food trucks starts at 9 a.m. and a Texas Steel Guitar Demonstration takes place there from 9 to 11 a.m.

Live free music takes place on the Farmers’ Market outdoor stage, 2205 Lee Street featuring The Western Flyers at 11 a.m., Hot Club of Cowtown at 12:20 p.m., Tommy Alverson Band at 1:150, and Dave Alexander’s Big Texas Swing Band at 3:20 p.m.

The Saturday night concert takes place at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. featuring Gary P. Nunn, Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys with Jason Roberts, Pauline Reese, and special guests.
