The Texarkana Regional Arts & Humanities Council is excited to announce the return of the Holiday Arts Market, celebrating its 17th year of bringing local artists and the community together. On Dec. 6 from 10 AM – 5 PM and Dec. 7 from 10 AM – 4 PM, the three floors of the Regional Arts Center will be filled with 45 artists offering unique, handmade gifts for the holiday season. There is no entrance fee for this event.
This year’s market will feature returning long-time favorite artists in addition to seven new artists, including a glass blower and a children’s book author. Shoppers will be treated to a wide variety of local handmade goods such as pottery, paintings, jewelry, soaps, decor, and many more.
“It’s important to support local artists to bring cultural and enlightened ideas to our perspective. We often learn from them and get a feel for the world around us,” organizer Jeanne Harrel said.
Debbie Gillham will provide live music, creating a festive soundtrack to the market, and Julie’s Deli will have their brand-new food truck stationed in the city parking lot behind the building. Visitors can also stop by the For Arts Sake gift shop, where there is always a wide assortment of gifts.
